The aim of the Institute is to foster understanding of The Deming System of Profound Knowledge™ to advance commerce, prosperity and peace. The aim of the blog is to further the aim of the Institute.
The Deming System of Profound Knowledge™ included four interrelated parts:
- Appreciation for a system
- Knowledge about variation
- Theory of knowledge
The various segments of the system of profound knowledge can not be separated. They each interact with all the others. Thus, knowledge of psychology is incomplete without knowledge of variation and so on.
The two most well know book by W. Edward’s Deming are: Out of the Crisis and The New Economics for Industry, Government, Education.
In this blog we will explore Deming’s ideas on management by examining at his works and exploring how the ideas are being applied in organizations today. While he was alive Deming was continue to learn and add to his management philosophy. This blog will attempt to hold true to his ideas while also looking at how those ideas have been, and are being, extended and implemented.
